Have you ever wish you can quickly lose body fat around the waistline? To me, bulging waistline have the most stubborn body fat and is most difficult to reduce. I have tried appeitite suppressent and fat blockers, it did help in some ways but they also make me jittery and fat blockers like Xeneca can caused embarrasing stains. I decided to use natural supplements couple with an exercise and diet regime. I did my research and found that green tea can help me get rid of the body fat around the waistline.
Here's how green tea can help in your weightloss program:
The popularity of green tea has grown immensely in the recent years. Green Tea is known for its many health benefits. Some of the health benefits include inhibiting growth of cancer cell; strengthen teeth and reducing build up of bad cholesterol.
The reason for its many health benefits is the presence of polyphenols, which possess a significant level of antioxidant, anticarcinogenic and anti inflammatory properties.
Recently, studies have found that green tea can be used as a form of weight loss program. It is believed that the catechins, a polyphenol compound have the ability to intensify fat oxidation and thermogenesis. Thermogenesis is the process of heat production, occurs mostly in warm blooded animals. One of the methods of thermogenesis is shivering which raises the body’s temperature without increasing heart rate. Drinking green tea everyday could increase our body metabolic rate and help burn fat safely and naturally.
An article in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition indicate that people who drank a bottle of tea fortified with green tea extract every day for three months lost more body fat than those who drank a bottle of regular tea. Researchers say the results indicate that the catechins compound trigger weight loss by stimulating the body to burn calories and decreasing body fat.
As the studies are still underway, so is daily intake of green tea an effective weight loss plan? One definite advantage will be it is inexpensive. Green tea can be drunk like any other tea and as it is usually drank without milk or sugar, it has zero calories.
The formula to effective weight loss is eating less and burning fats. Green tea with its catechin properties works by increasing the output of energy. Hence, with a combination of reduce food intake and regular consumption of green tea; it can be an effective weight loss program.
Green tea can be drunk hot or cold with a slice of lemon and a teaspoon of honey. It can substitute our craving for sugar laden, pop fizzy drinks. Drank on its own, green tea is also a refreshing drink to kick start the day. However, as green tea contains caffeine, coffee and tea should be cut off from your diet. Decaffeinated green tea is not recommended because the chemical processes that are used to remove the caffeine may destroy the beneficial properties. Alternatively, if you can’t drink as many cups of green tea a day, you can get the health benefit of green tea from green tea extract contain in a capsule. Green tea extract can be purchased in leading health retailers or online.
I have started taking green tea supplement for two weeks. Combined with an daily exercise routine of about 30 minutes, I could see a gradual improvement in my overall fitness and the body fat around the waistline is slowly reducing. Green tea for weightloss will not give you overnight or immediate results but it will help you get rid of the stubborn body fat around the waistline. Finally, green tea will enable you to sustain and maintain long term weight loss.
